#36: Family First
A friend’s father breathed his last.
I had the opportunity of meeting him for the first time, just two days before he passed on. He was a good man.
In his last days, in the final stage of cancer, his two sons took turns tending to him, day and night, managing only a few winks of sleep in between.
Death has its way of making us realize what’s dear to us in life. Not work, not a career, not money, not fame…but family.
Though it’d be nicer if we learnt that sooner, so we’d have more time to do what’s truly dear to us…before time runs out on us.
